A stunning carved Roman Capital fashioned from Beech, a brownish-white wood used in the solid from the 17thC for furniture and architectural ornament since it does not split when tacked and is easily stained, painted or gilded. Measuring 5" (13cm) at the top and narrowing to 4" (10cm) at the base. Maximum depth (at top) 2" (5cm). Design as shown.
